June 28, 2009. Are You Prepared?
Every day of our lives, we prepare. We prepare something or someone, or we prepare for something or someone. All of us. No one is excluded. We prepare for work, school, breakfast, the big game, a night out, a fight. To Survive. To Win. Our defenses. "The Worst" (which almost never happens)
We want to be prepared for whatever life throws at us. For events. For activities. For "the big day"....because we know that there are expectations of us when we arrive. We make our plans, we check them twice and then we check them again.
And, Heaven forbid we show up unprepared.
As you read this short intro for Sunday's message, ask yourself this simple question: "Am I Prepared?" There are so many implications; so many possible responses. Prepared for What?
What you'll hear this Sunday at the Pointe may not be what you're expecting. Are You Prepared?
Are you really?

Matthew 25 tells the story of the bridegroom coming for His bride. 5 were prepared and 5 were not. When the bridegroom came the 5 that were ready went in to the wedding banquet the other 5 the bridegroom told them He did not know them. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour. Be Prepared!!
